The European Postgraduate Student Orthodontic Society (EPSOS) was born as a postgraduate study group during the EOS meeting in Aarhus 2004. In Vienna 2006 the EPSOS became an official society for European postgraduate students in orthodontics.

Supporting education and innovation in orthodontics

The European Postgraduate Student Orthodontic Society (EPSOS) consists of members from all over Europe, as well as friends from all over the world.

We aim to:

  • Promote a high level of training of orthodontic specialists in Europe.

  • Promote a standardization of requirements of postgraduate
    programmes in orthodontics.

  • Establish relations and interactions with professional and Academic
Authorities and associations in the field of orthodontics.

  • Encourage interaction among postgraduate students.

The members of the society are affiliated for a limited period of postgraduate education. In order to involve as many students as possible we believe in providing a free membership and annual meeting for our members.

Annual Meetings

Each year, EPSOS holds its annual meeting on the day the European Orthodontic Society (EOS) Congress starts. This is a one-day event where all EPSOS members meet up, exchange knowledge and socialise. This is a unique meeting unlike any other orthodontic course as it is organized by students for students.

During our annual meeting, a well-known speaker in the field of Orthodontics is invited to give a keynote lecture to the members, whereas selected students present their cases treated during their training. In addition, elections for next year’s board take place during the meeting. Also, awards are given to the best research project by one of our sponsors
